Factor Monza Road Bike
An elite-level road bike for the everyday racer
Factor Monza Road Bike
The Factor Monza road bike is built for the rider who squeezes training between family, work, and weekend racing — without compromising an ounce of performance. Designed with the same DNA that put the Factor Ostro on the map and at the top of the timesheets, Monza is a stripped-back thoroughbred that combines surprising functionality with a searing pace set to put the fun and the PBs back into your riding.
But don’t let all this talk of regular life give you the impression that the Monza is anything less than an extremely well-appointed road bike built by a brand at the top of its game. As Stuart Munro, the lead Industrial Designer on the Monza project, said when we spoke to him ahead of the launch: “The Monza is not a pro bike softened for amateurs. It’s a performance machine built from the ground up for passionate, real-world racers.”

More about the Factor Monza
The reality for many road cyclists is that one set of wheels covers a lot of ground. From backpack-rocking fast commutes to training rides, punchy chain gangs, hill repeats, crits and more, for passionate amateurs, very often, a single bike sends it all in the same week. Factor saw the need for a more ruggedized, more democratic Ostro and developed the Monza in response, a bike that can compete for the win and eat the early miles.
The Factor Monza’s everyday race geometry and clearance for up to 34mm tires excel at jumping disciplines. While Factor makes a big deal of the Monza’s World Tour handling and its comparable stiffness to the Ostro, the adaptions its engineers made to the geo, raising the stack height compared to the Ostro make it so much more than a one-trick pony. Factor has recognized that for many of us, the saddle time we squeeze between other commitments, up before dawn or out past the last light, is our riding life. And if we can snag a race over the weekend, even better.
Accordingly, Factor added a good sense of utility to the Monza, too, which features integrated downtube storage, neatly nixing your (often ungainly) saddle bag and inviting you to stow your ride essentials inside the frame. Whether you use it to stash an extra layer, an inner tube and accessories or a few choice snacks, the Monza’s internal storage capacity streamlines your ride routine, helping you get out of the door faster, with less fuss and a lot more style. In case you were wondering, the storage is accessible even if you have a bottle cage mounted to its top cover. Inside, you'll find lots of space and an included organizer bag.
Integrated storage has another trick up its sleeve: better aerodynamics. By encouraging you to ride without a saddle bag, Factor's engineers signal a simple truth: what you stick behind your saddle costs you watts. With that goal in mind, the Monza is tuned for aero advantage in real-world racing conditions while refining certain features and materials to reduce manufacturing complexity and costs. For example, unlike Factor's flagship road machine, the Ostro, the Monza features a planar break between the fork and frame. This approach enables Factor to deliver refined elite-level performance to a wider cycling audience.
The New Black Inc. Integrated Bar/Stem HB04
Launched alongside the Factor Monza, the new Black Inc Integrated Barstem HB04 is designed to fit right in with the Monza’s more inclusive sizing philosophy. The HB04 combines a shorter reach with a shorter drop, so it’s a great match for modern Shimano and SRAM hoods, as it helps balance out their longer reach.
The integrated setup doesn’t just look sleek — it also boosts aerodynamics by keeping cables tucked out of sight. Thoughtfully placed cable entry ports make routing straightforward through the bar’s semi-aero profile. Compared to Factor’s Aero Integrate Barstem, the HB04 is a bit narrower up top, giving riders better hand positions while delivering improved aero performance over traditional round bars.
Built with a smart balance of strength and weight, the HB04 also features a standard round top cap, so it’s compatible with a wide range of bikes.
THE FINER DETAILS

Everyday Race Geometry
The Monza rides with a finely tuned geo that strikes the perfect balance between speed and comfort. It’s race-ready, yet forgiving enough for long training days and mixed-surface adventures.

Integrated Downtube Storage
Carry tools, snacks, and essentials discreetly — with the Monza, there's no need for saddle bags or duct-taped gels. Aero meets utility in a clean internal layout refined from Factor’s triathlon pedigree.

Performance-Oriented Design Language
Every curve, taper, and line of the Monza follows the Factor DNA, balancing aerodynamics, stiffness, and aesthetics. It's a bike that brings the best of the Ostro, the speed, the aerodynamics and the stunning looks, but under the hood, it amps up the resilience to meet the challenge of keeping you moving forward over a varied week of riding.
