More about the Kort

Bjorn developed the Kort for triathlon and time trial, and for anyone who rides road or gravel in an aggressive, forward-rotated position. The short nose keeps your inner thighs clear of the tip, and the width keeps you stable when you’re rotated forward. Sit further back and it works in a more upright road position too.

The 3D-printed pad was designed from scratch for this shape, with zones of different firmness that increase the contact area and absorb road vibration. It sits on a carbon shell with a triangular reinforcement pattern, and the carbon rails are inserted into reinforced slots instead of being glued.

At 220 mm, the Kort is 20 mm under the UCI’s minimum saddle length. Some makers add a plastic tail to reach 240 mm. Bjorn didn’t, and puts a pack of “UCI Illegal” stickers in the box.

Is the Kort UCI legal? add
No. The UCI requires a saddle to be at least 240 mm long and the Kort is 220 mm. That only matters if you race UCI-sanctioned events. If you do, the Setka also has a 3D-printed pad on a carbon shell, and it’s legal.
Will it fit my seatpost? add
The rails are oval carbon, 7x9 mm, so your seatpost clamp needs to be made for 7x9 rails. A clamp made only for round 7 mm rails isn’t suitable. Many posts take them as standard and others need a different clamp. If you’re not sure about yours, ask us before you order.
