The X-Rotor SteelCarbon 3
Carbon-Ti makes components in carbon fiber, titanium and aluminum in Cazzago San Martino, near Brescia, and makes all of them in Italy.

The name comes from the first thing it made: a chainring, in 2005, with a carbon fiber structure and titanium teeth. The range now runs from chainrings and rotors to thru axles, hubs and wheels.
Since 2023 Carbon-Ti has supplied UAE Team Emirates with chainrings, rotors and thru axles, and it developed the current X-Rotor with the team. We fit X-Rotors to Regroup custom builds, a Mosaic RT-Zero, a Parlee Z-Zero GT and a Sarto Cima among them.

The X-Rotor SteelCarbon 3 is a semi-floating disc rotor. The braking track is steel, 1.8 mm thick. It’s riveted to a carbon fiber body with Grade 5 titanium rivets and washers, and the Centerlock version adds a 7075 aluminum adapter behind a laser-engraved titanium plate. Carbon-Ti gives the weight as 86 grams at 140 mm and 98 grams at 160 mm, before the 8-gram lockring that comes with it.
For this third version Carbon-Ti redesigned the track to improve braking, shed heat and wear pads more evenly, and rounded its edges to meet UCI rules. UAE Team Emirates tested it on the team’s Colnago V4RS race bikes.

Carbon-Ti grew out of LLS Titanium, a maker of special alloys and carbon fiber, and has been a company in its own right since 2020. It designs and manufactures everything in Italy. The carbon is cut by waterjet and then CNC-machined, and assembly is done by hand.
You’ll find X-Rotors front and rear on the Shattered Camo Mosaic RT-Zero and the ‘First Fit’ Parlee Z-Zero GT, and a Bugatti-branded pair on the Bugatti Factor ONE. If you’d like them on yours, ask us.
