Talking about Italy’s Sarto Bikes requires a reset of what you expect from a bike brand, particularly one that makes carbon fiber bikes. Unusually, Sarto makes everything in-house at its HQ. It forms and manufactures its own tubes for its frames, cockpit, and fork, and what’s more, each bike it produces is available as a bespoke creation. Geometry, frame lay-up – it’s all bespoke, within the bounds of your chosen model. It’s pretty wild that this level of handmade, bespoke craftsmanship is available today, which is one of the many reasons we sought and received Sarto Partner status.

About the Sarto Raso
The Raso is Sarto’s love letter to high-performance, all-day road rides, the sort of sessions which cover mixed terrain on challenging parcours, often at high average speeds. Room for up to 35mm tires hints at the Raso’s all-road credentials and the comfort wider rubber affords, but the real story is the frame’s innovative lay-up that, on the one hand, minimizes vibrations and road noise, and the other, demonstrates exceptional strength and stiffness.
That blend of attributes is only possible because Sarto is a small-batch custom shop that has been innovating with carbon fiber for over twenty years. The brand uses some of the highest grades of composite materials that exist and frequently experiments with others that have not even hit the market. A nice touch: Sarto uses locally sourced pre-preg fibers from Italian producers, another rarity in the bike industry.

THE RASO TC
There’s the Raso, and then there’s a special edition called the Raso TC, a model that shares the same silhouette but differs by including Tri-Composite copper or titanium filaments in the frame. The TC model elevates Raso’s exemplary comfort and resilience to extraordinary levels. It also looks incredible, with the TC weaving a pattern that has to be seen to be believed. COLOR THE ROAD
When we said Sarto makes everything in-house, we meant everything, including the paint. Sarto’s paint shop brings dreams to life. From single and dual-color standard paint schemes to completely custom creations under its ‘Tailor’ option, Sarto’s finish options allow you to color the road with endless creativity.
BLACK MARBLE
Sarto’s newest finish isn’t a finish. What looks like swirling clouds, mist on the mountain and, yes, marble, is, in fact, a fiber-level treatment baked into the tubes themselves, revealed on a surface free of paint and adorned by a simple clearcut gloss or transparent ink. Of the latter there are a few hues to choose - red, green, blue (pictured at the top of the page). A side effect of the Black Marble treatment is that each time Sarto creates it, it changes, ensuring that should you order a Black Marble finish, it will be subtly different and unique to your frame.
